E2056

Torque limit = 0

Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive C Drive Controllers

What does E2056 mean?

The torque limit parameter is set to zero, preventing the motor from generating any torque. This causes the drive to be unable to move or hold position.

Common Causes

  • Torque limit parameter was intentionally or accidentally set to 0.
  • External PLC or HMI command setting the torque limit to 0.
  • System logic error preventing the torque limit value from being set above 0.
  • Emergency stop or safety function that reduces the torque limit to zero.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the torque limit parameter in the drive controller and ensure it is set to a non-zero, appropriate value for the application.

  2. 2

Check the machine's HMI or control program for any active torque limit settings that might be forced to 0.

  3. 3

Trace the logic controlling the torque limit to ensure no unexpected conditions are setting it to zero.

  4. 4

Check if any active safety functions or emergency stops are causing the torque limit to be set to zero. Resolve the safety condition if present.
