E2069

Brake torque too low

Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive C Drive Controllers

What does E2069 mean?

The holding brake is unable to generate sufficient torque to hold the load, or the drive detects that the brake torque is below the expected threshold. This can lead to uncontrolled motion of the load.

Common Causes

  • Mechanical wear or damage to the holding brake components.
  • Incorrect voltage or current supplied to the brake, preventing full engagement.
  • Improper adjustment of the brake, resulting in insufficient holding force.
  • Drive parameter for expected brake torque is set too high or the brake test is failing.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Inspect the motor holding brake for signs of wear, damage, or mechanical obstruction. Check brake air gap.

  2. 2

Verify the voltage and current supplied to the brake during engagement and ensure it matches the brake's specifications.

  3. 3

Check the wiring to the holding brake for continuity and correct connection.

  4. 4

Review drive parameters related to the holding brake function and ensure they are configured correctly for the installed brake.
