Prewarning supply module overload
Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive C Drive Controllers
What does E2086 mean?
The supply module is experiencing an elevated load, approaching its thermal capacity. This prewarning indicates that continuous operation at this level could lead to a shutdown of the supply module or the entire system.
Common Causes
- Continuous operation at or above the supply module's rated current.
- Motor or mechanical system experiencing excessive load or regeneration.
- Inadequate cooling for the supply module, possibly due to blocked vents, fan failure, or high ambient temperature.
- Incorrect configuration or undersized supply module for the application.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the total current draw from the supply module and ensure it is within its continuous operating limits.
- 2
Check the supply module's cooling fan for proper operation and ensure ventilation openings are clear of obstructions.
- 3
Measure the ambient temperature around the supply module and ensure it is within the specified operating range.
- 4
Review the application's duty cycle and peak loads; consider reducing load or increasing acceleration/deceleration times if possible.
