E8058
Drive system not ready for operation
Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive C Drive Controllers
What does E8058 mean?
The drive system is not in a ready state to accept commands or operate the motor. This can be due to pending errors, incomplete initialization, or unfulfilled safety conditions.
Common Causes
- One or more prerequisite conditions for operation (e.g., power-on, safety circuit closed, homing) are not met.
- Internal errors or warnings within the drive controller preventing readiness.
- Communication issues with the master controller (PLC) preventing the ready signal.
- Incorrect drive configuration or parameter settings.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check for any other active fault codes or warnings that might be preventing the drive from achieving readiness.
- 2
Verify that all safety circuits (e.g., Emergency Stop, Safe Torque Off) are closed and conditions are met.
- 3
Check the status of the master communication (fieldbus) and ensure the drive is receiving valid commands.
- 4
Cycle power to the drive controller to force a complete re-initialization.
