Input phase loss

ACS880 · Primary Control Program Firmware

What does 3130 mean?

The ACS880 drive detected a loss of one or more incoming AC supply phases. This prevents proper rectification and DC bus charging, and can lead to damage if not handled correctly. The drive will trip to protect itself.

Common Causes

  • Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in one or more phases of the incoming AC supply line.
  • Utility power outage or significant phase imbalance on the incoming grid.
  • Loose connection or high resistance in the main power circuit leading to the drive's input terminals.
  • Incorrect setting of parameter 31.21 Supply phase loss, which determines the drive's reaction to this condition (set to 'Fault').

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Immediately de-energize and lock out the drive before inspection.

  2. 2

Inspect all incoming AC supply fuses and circuit breakers for trips or opens; replace blown fuses or reset tripped breakers.

  3. 3

Check all main power cable connections at the supply, protective devices, and drive input terminals (L1, L2, L3) for looseness, corrosion, or damage.

  4. 4

Measure the incoming AC supply voltage on all three phases to ensure balanced and correct voltage levels.

  5. 5

Verify parameter 31.21 Supply phase loss is correctly configured; if set to 'Fault', ensure robust input power conditions.
