ACS880 · Primary Control Program Firmware
The ACS880 drive detected a loss of one or more motor phases at its output. This indicates a problem with the motor wiring or the motor itself, leading to potential motor damage or irregular operation.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect all motor power cable connections (U, V, W) at both the drive and motor terminals for looseness, corrosion, or damage.
Measure the resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, U-W) to check for open circuits; values should be balanced.
Measure insulation resistance between each motor phase and ground, and between phases, using a megger (e.g., 500VDC) to check for ground faults or short circuits.
Verify parameter 31.19 Motor phase loss is correctly configured for the application; if set to 'Fault', ensure the motor and cabling are healthy.
If the motor is suspected to be faulty, disconnect it and test it independently or swap it with a known good motor for verification.
