ACS880 · Primary Control Program Firmware
The motor is rotating faster than its highest allowed speed in the ACS880 drive. This can be caused by incorrect speed limits, insufficient braking torque for the application, or uncontrolled acceleration due to load changes under torque reference.
Click steps to track your progress.
Review and adjust parameters 30.11 Minimum speed and 30.12 Maximum speed to ensure they are appropriate and safe for the motor and application.
Evaluate the application's braking requirements and confirm that the motor's braking torque is sufficient for deceleration and stopping.
If using torque control, ensure that the application's load changes and regenerative conditions are handled robustly (e.g., dynamic braking).
If a brake chopper and resistors are present, verify their correct operation and sizing for the regenerative power requirements.
Check for any external forces or mechanical issues (e.g., disengaged gearing, binding) that might cause uncontrolled acceleration.
