A880

Motor bearing warning

ACS880 · Primary Control Program Firmware

What does A880 mean?

A warning generated by an on-time timer or a value counter, often indicating a scheduled maintenance interval or an exceeded operational limit for motor bearings. An auxiliary code in the event log will specify the exact source.

Common Causes

  • Programmable warning set by parameter 33.14 On-time 1 warning select, 33.24 On-time 2 warning select, 33.55 Value counter 1 warning select, or 33.65 Value counter 2 warning selection.
  • The source of the warning is defined by 33.13 On-time 1 source (aux code 0), 33.23 On-time 2 source (aux code 1), 33.53 Value counter 1 source (aux code 4), or 33.63 Value counter 2 source (aux code 5).
  • Configured timer or counter reaching its programmed threshold, indicating pending maintenance or an operational event limit.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the event log for the specific auxiliary code associated with the A880 warning.

  2. 2

Identify the source of the warning by cross-referencing the auxiliary code with parameters 33.13, 33.23, 33.53, or 33.63.

  3. 3

Investigate the conditions triggering the configured on-time timer or value counter (e.g., motor run time, number of starts) and verify motor bearing health.

  4. 4

Adjust the warning selection parameters (33.14, 33.24, 33.55, 33.65) if the warning threshold is inappropriate for the application.

  5. 5

Perform recommended motor bearing maintenance or inspection based on operating hours and environmental conditions, then reset the counter/timer.
