ACS880 · Primary Control Program Firmware
The DC bus voltage of the ACS880 drive exceeded the maximum allowed limit. This typically occurs during regenerative braking when energy is fed back into the DC bus faster than it can be dissipated or stored, or due to high incoming supply voltage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the incoming AC supply voltage at the drive input terminals and ensure it is within the drive's specified operational limits.
Increase deceleration ramp times (e.g., 22.03 Deceleration time 1) in the drive parameters to reduce regenerative energy during braking.
Verify that any braking chopper and resistor are correctly sized, connected, and functioning if the application involves regenerative loads.
Check for stable grid conditions; consider line reactors or filters if frequent supply overvoltages are detected.
Review DC overvoltage trip limits in the drive to ensure they are set appropriately but not excessively high, typically relative to the nominal supply voltage.
