SRVO-081

Line Tracking Encoder Overflow

Fanuc · R-30iB Mate + Mate Plus Robot

What does SRVO-081 mean?

The pulse counter for the line tracking encoder has overflowed. This typically occurs if the conditions for line tracking operation exceed the system's limitations or if the encoder is reporting an abnormally high number of pulses.

Common Causes

  • Line tracking encoder receiving too many pulses within a sampling period.
  • Axis moving faster than the maximum detectable speed for line tracking.
  • Incorrect scaling of line tracking encoder resolution (P2-02, P2-03).
  • Excessive vibration causing encoder signal fluctuations.
  • Line tracking encoder sensor misalignment or contamination.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check whether the condition of the line tracking operation exceeds the system's limitations.

  2. 2

    Replace the Pulsecoder.

  3. 3

    Replace the line tracking board.
