AC frequency too low

Fronius · Primo GEN24

What does 105 mean?

The frequency of the AC grid at the inverter's connection point has dropped below the minimum allowable limit for the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter. This condition will cause the inverter to disconnect to prevent damage or improper operation.

Common Causes

  • The grid frequency is too low.
  • The grid is unstable.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the AC grid frequency at the inverter's connection point using a frequency meter or a multimeter with frequency measurement capability.

  2. 2

Determine if the low grid frequency is a persistent issue or a transient event.

  3. 3

Ensure no local large inductive loads are causing significant frequency deviations.

  4. 4

Immediately contact the grid operator to report the unstable or low grid frequency, as this points to a potential public grid instability or generation issue.
