A35212

TM120/TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 1

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35212 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[1]) for channel 1 on Terminal Module 120 (TM120) or Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[2]). A timer (p4103[1]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[1]).

Common Causes

  • Slightly increased environmental temperature affecting the TM120/TM150 module or the component monitored by channel 1.
  • Elevated average load on the equipment connected to channel 1, causing its temperature to rise above typical idle conditions.
  • Reduced effectiveness of the cooling system (e.g., partially blocked vents, aging fan) for the TM120/TM150 or the monitored component on channel 1.
  • Minor inaccuracies in the temperature sensor on channel 1, resulting in r4105[1] reporting a value slightly higher than actual.
  • The alarm threshold p4102[2] (Temperature alarm threshold channel 1) is set very close to the component's normal operating temperature.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the current operating temperature of the component monitored by channel 1 using an external thermometer, checking against r4105[1].

  2. 2

Inspect and clean all cooling apertures, filters, and fan blades on the TM120/TM150 and the equipment attached to channel 1.

  3. 3

Review recent changes in process variables or production rates that could lead to an increase in the operating temperature of the channel 1 component.

  4. 4

Confirm that parameter p4102[2] (Alarm threshold channel 1) provides a suitable warning margin before a critical fault condition occurs.

  5. 5

Continuously observe r4105[1] to detect any further temperature increase that might necessitate immediate action or a fault shutdown.
