A35213

TM120/TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 2

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35213 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[2]) for channel 2 on Terminal Module 120 (TM120) or Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[4]). A timer (p4103[2]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[2]).

Common Causes

  • Ambient temperature around the TM120/TM150 module or the component on channel 2 is consistently higher than design expectations.
  • Sustained elevated workload on the equipment monitored by channel 2, operating near its upper thermal limits.
  • Dust accumulation on component surfaces or partial obstruction of cooling airflows for the module or the connected device on channel 2.
  • Slight deviation or degradation of the temperature sensor on channel 2, leading to a marginal over-reporting of r4105[2].
  • Parameter p4102[4] (Temperature alarm threshold channel 2) is configured with an insufficient differential from the normal operating temperature.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the actual temperature of the component associated with channel 2 using a calibrated handheld device and compare it to r4105[2].

  2. 2

Ensure all air inlets and outlets for the control cabinet and the TM120/TM150 module are clear and free of obstructions.

  3. 3

Examine the operational data for the equipment on channel 2 for any trends indicating increasing power consumption or operational stress.

  4. 4

Check that parameter p4102[4] (Alarm threshold channel 2) is set at a level that provides an adequate early warning without nuisance tripping.

  5. 5

Implement a regular monitoring schedule for r4105[2] to track temperature behavior and identify any accelerating temperature rises.
