A35410

TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 4

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35410 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[4]) for channel 4 on Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[8]). A timer (p4103[4]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[4]).

Common Causes

  • Component connected to TM150 channel 4 operating near its upper thermal limit due to high ambient temperature or increased operational load.
  • Alarm threshold p4102[8] set too restrictively, triggering an alarm at acceptable operating temperatures.
  • Gradual degradation or fouling of the cooling system for the monitored component (e.g., dust accumulation on heatsinks, reduced airflow).
  • Temperature sensor connected to TM150 channel 4 is out of calibration, leading to slightly elevated readings.
  • Transient overload on the connected equipment causing a temporary temperature spike, triggering the alarm timer p4103[4].

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Read the actual temperature r4105[4] in the drive diagnostics and compare it with the component's specified maximum continuous operating temperature.

  2. 2

    2. Verify the configured alarm threshold p4102[8] and the timer delay p4103[4] to ensure they are appropriate for the application.

  3. 3

    3. Inspect the cooling system of the monitored component for obstructions, fan functionality, or proper heat dissipation.

  4. 4

    4. Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor connected to TM150 channel 4 and compare it to its nominal value (e.g., 100 Ohms for Pt100 at 0°C).

  5. 5

    5. Clean the component's cooling fins and ensure free airflow around the motor or equipment, if applicable.
