A35412

TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 6

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35412 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[6]) for channel 6 on Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[12]). A timer (p4103[6]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[6]).

Common Causes

  • Elevated operating temperature of the component connected to TM150 channel 6, possibly due to increased mechanical friction or electrical losses.
  • Alarm threshold p4102[12] is incorrectly configured and is too close to the normal operating temperature.
  • Degradation of the component's internal insulation, leading to increased heat generation at standard loads.
  • Loose or corroded terminal connections for the temperature sensor on TM150 channel 6, causing a minor signal offset.
  • Ambient temperature in the enclosure housing the component is higher than specified, contributing to overall component temperature.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Verify the current temperature reading r4105[6] in the drive's diagnostic monitor and compare with expected values for the application.

  2. 2

    2. Check the configured alarm threshold p4102[12] and the alarm delay timer p4103[6] for proper tuning.

  3. 3

    3. Inspect the motor or machine bearings (if applicable) for signs of wear or inadequate lubrication, which can cause friction heat.

  4. 4

    4. Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor connected to TM150 channel 6 and cross-reference with its temperature-resistance curve.

  5. 5

    5. Confirm that cooling fans for the component (e.g., motor fan) are operating correctly and not obstructed.
