A35415

TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 9

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35415 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[9]) for channel 9 on Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[18]). A timer (p4103[9]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[9]).

Common Causes

  • Overheating of the equipment monitored by channel 9 due to sustained high load or insufficient power supply characteristics (e.g., voltage imbalance).
  • Alarm threshold p4102[18] configured with a value that is too low for the application's specific thermal profile.
  • Damage or wear to the temperature sensor itself, causing it to report higher than actual temperatures.
  • Poor contact or high resistance in the wiring between the temperature sensor and the TM150 module's channel 9 input.
  • Malfunction of a heating element or an unintended heat source near the monitored component.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Check the live temperature value r4105[9] in the diagnostic parameters of the control system.

  2. 2

    2. Review and adjust parameter p4102[18] (alarm threshold) and p4103[9] (alarm timer) to match the component's thermal limits and operational requirements.

  3. 3

    3. Use a thermal imaging camera to measure the surface temperature of the component connected to channel 9 to corroborate the sensor reading.

  4. 4

    4. Verify the integrity of the wiring to TM150 channel 9, ensuring secure connections at terminals X1.19 and X1.20 (typical for channel 9).

  5. 5

    5. Investigate for external heat sources or heating element malfunctions that could be affecting the monitored component.
