A35417

TM150 Temperature Alarm Channel 11

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does A35417 mean?

This alarm is initiated when the actual temperature (r4105[11]) for channel 11 on Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured alarm threshold (p4102[22]). A timer (p4103[11]) is also started. The alarm will clear once the temperature falls below the threshold, factoring in the defined hysteresis (p4118[11]).

Common Causes

  • The component monitored by channel 11 is operating at an elevated temperature due to sustained maximum load or a mechanical defect.
  • The alarm threshold p4102[22] is configured too low, triggering an alarm at acceptable operational temperatures.
  • Internal fault within the TM150 module's analog input circuitry for channel 11, causing inaccurate temperature measurements.
  • Poor quality or damaged temperature sensor cable, leading to signal attenuation or noise.
  • Excessive component wear or friction (e.g., worn bearings in a motor) generating additional heat.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Read the temperature r4105[11] and the timer value p4103[11] via the drive's diagnostic interface.

  2. 2

    2. Review and correct the alarm threshold p4102[22] to be consistent with the component's maximum safe operating temperature.

  3. 3

    3. Disconnect the temperature sensor and measure its resistance, then compare it against its nominal values (e.g., Pt100/Pt1000 curve).

  4. 4

    4. Check the integrity of the sensor cabling, specifically for loose connections at terminals X1.21 and X1.22 (typical for channel 11) on the TM150.

  5. 5

    5. Perform a load test on the component to determine if the temperature increase is correlated with operational demands.
