Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List
The drive-integrated "Safety Integrated" function on the Control Unit (CU) has detected a fault, initiating a STOP A (Safe Torque Off via the safety shutdown path). This can be caused by an unsuccessful forced checking procedure of the safety shutdown path or as a subsequent response to a defect in a monitoring channel (F01611). The drive will react with an OFF2 state, requiring an immediate POWER ON cycle for acknowledgment.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Check the status of all external safety devices (e.g., E-Stop buttons, light curtains, safety door interlocks) connected to the safety inputs of the CU.
2. Access the safety diagnostics (e.g., r9770, r9771) in the drive parameters to identify the specific cause reported by the Safety Integrated function.
3. Verify the wiring integrity of the safety circuit, ensuring correct connections to terminals X124, X125, X126 (example for PROFIsafe) on the CU.
4. Perform a safety function test (e.g., activate E-Stop, open gate) as per machine safety standards to confirm proper operation of the safety chain.
5. Review safety-related parameters (e.g., P9500, P9601, P9800) in the drive configuration for consistency with the machine's safety concept.
6. Cycle power to the Control Unit (CU) to reset any transient internal safety logic states, then re-check the fault.
