F35402

TM150 Temperature Fault Channel 6

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does F35402 mean?

This fault is triggered when the actual temperature (r4105[6]) for channel 6 on the Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured fault threshold (p4102[13]), or if an associated timer (p4103[6]) expires. If a BICO interconnection exists, this fault will cause the drive to shut down. The fault will persist until the temperature falls below the threshold (minus hysteresis) and is acknowledged.

Common Causes

  • Continuous high power operation or overload on the equipment monitored by TM150 channel 6, causing thermal runaway.
  • Poor heat management in the control cabinet or localized hot spots around the TM150 module or the component on channel 6.
  • Faulty temperature sensor on channel 6 providing an inaccurate and elevated temperature reading for r4105[6].
  • Airflow restrictions or a failed cooling fan directly impacting the TM150 module or the component monitored by channel 6.
  • Parameter p4102[13] (Temperature fault threshold channel 6) is configured too low, triggering the fault prematurely for normal operation.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the actual temperature of the equipment monitored by channel 6 using a calibrated pyrometer or thermal imager, referencing r4105[6].

  2. 2

Inspect the cooling system (fans, vents, heat sinks) of the TM150 module and the equipment connected to channel 6 for obstructions or malfunction.

  3. 3

Check the wiring integrity of the temperature sensor for channel 6 at the TM150 terminal block for proper connection and insulation.

  4. 4

Review the operational history and current load profile of the equipment on channel 6 to identify any deviations causing thermal stress.

  5. 5

If the measured temperature is accurate and within limits but r4105[6] is high, replace the temperature sensor assigned to TM150 channel 6.

  6. 6

If process changes or component upgrades allow, adjust parameter p4102[13] (Fault threshold channel 6) to reflect the new, safe operating maximum.
