F35403

TM150 Temperature Fault Channel 7

Siemens · SINAMICS S120/S150 Reference List

What does F35403 mean?

This fault is triggered when the actual temperature (r4105[7]) for channel 7 on the Terminal Module 150 (TM150) exceeds its configured fault threshold (p4102[15]), or if an associated timer (p4103[7]) expires. If a BICO interconnection exists, this fault will cause the drive to shut down. The fault will persist until the temperature falls below the threshold (minus hysteresis) and is acknowledged.

Common Causes

  • Overheating of the component monitored by TM150 channel 7 due to sustained operation beyond its rated thermal capacity.
  • Elevated cabinet temperature or localized environmental conditions compromising the cooling efficiency of the TM150 module or the monitored device.
  • A malfunctioning temperature sensor on channel 7, sending an incorrectly high temperature value for r4105[7].
  • Clogged air filters, obstructed vents, or a failing cooling fan contributing to inadequate heat dissipation for the component on channel 7.
  • The fault threshold parameter p4102[15] (Temperature fault threshold channel 7) is set too conservatively for the application.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the current operating temperature of the component monitored by channel 7 using a reliable external temperature sensor, comparing it with r4105[7].

  2. 2

Ensure proper ventilation paths are clear and clean any dust from the heat sinks and fans of the TM150 module and the equipment on channel 7.

  3. 3

Conduct a continuity test and visual inspection of the wiring for the temperature sensor on channel 7 from the sensor to the TM150 input.

  4. 4

Examine the operational data for the component on channel 7 to confirm it is not running in an overload state or with compromised lubrication.

  5. 5

If the actual temperature is within tolerance but r4105[7] is elevated, replace the temperature sensor connected to TM150 channel 7.

  6. 6

Adjust parameter p4102[15] (Fault threshold channel 7) to a higher, safe value if a thorough engineering review supports it, considering component specifications.
