102

AC Voltage Range

Fronius · Symo Advanced

What does 102 mean?

This status code indicates that the AC voltage on the inverter's AC connection side is outside its permissible operating range. This could be due to either an excessively low or high line voltage, or general instability of the utility grid, preventing normal operation of the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter.

Common Causes

  • Line voltage is too low, dropping below the inverter's minimum operating threshold.
  • Line voltage is too high, exceeding the inverter's maximum operating threshold.
  • Instability in the utility grid causing voltage fluctuations.
  • Incorrect country setup parameter, leading to improper voltage limits.
  • Relay contacts inside the inverter's AC connection stage are welded shut.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the AC grid voltage at the inverter's AC terminals and compare it to the inverter's specified operating range.

  2. 2

Verify the AC cabling connecting the inverter to the grid for correct sizing and secure connections.

  3. 3

Inspect the AC mains fuses for continuity and ensure they are not blown.

  4. 4

Check the inverter's parameters for the correct country setup; adjust if necessary to match local grid requirements.

  5. 5

De-energize the inverter (switch off AC and DC disconnects), wait for 5 minutes, then re-energize to reset. If the message persists, the inverter may require service.
