1030

VMN LOW

Kone · Elevator Control

What does 1030 mean?

The motor controller (codes 1030, 2030, 3030) has detected that its VMN (motor voltage) is too low. This indicates an insufficient voltage supply to the motor. The specific lift reaction is controller dependent.

Common Causes

  • Low battery voltage or significant voltage drop to the motor.
  • Wiring issue or loose connection to the motor power terminals.
  • Internal power supply fault within the motor controller.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the main incoming power supply voltage at the motor controller's input terminals against the nominal voltage.

  2. 2

Inspect all motor power cables and connections between the motor controller and the motor for physical damage, loose terminals, or signs of overheating.

  3. 3

Measure the output voltage from the motor controller to the motor terminals while the elevator is commanded to run (if safe and possible) and compare against specified operational values.

  4. 4

Check the motor controller's configuration parameters related to motor voltage settings to ensure they align with the motor and system specifications.
