What does 57 mean?
A fault has been detected in the steer left coil, indicating an electrical issue with the solenoid responsible for steering left. This disables both lifting and driving functions.
Common Causes
- Steer left coil open circuit, short circuit, or high resistance.
- Damaged wiring or loose connections to the steer left coil.
- Control circuit failure attempting to activate the coil.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the supply voltage at the steer left coil solenoid terminals against the nominal specification.
- 2
Inspect all wiring and connections leading to and from the steer left coil solenoid for looseness, damage, or corrosion.
- 3
Measure the electrical resistance of the steer left coil solenoid to identify an open circuit or short circuit condition.
- 4
