OH8
Motor overtemperature (T1/T2)
Lenze · 9300 Series
What does OH8 mean?
The motor temperature, measured via inputs T1 and T2, is too high. This signifies thermal overload due to impermissible continuous current or frequent/prolonged acceleration processes. It can also occur if terminals T1 and T2 are not connected to a PTC/temperature contact.
Common Causes
- Motor temperature sensor (T1/T2) indicates an overtemperature condition.
- Excessive motor current draw causing rapid temperature rise.
- External motor cooling system failure.
- Poor thermal contact between sensor and motor windings.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check drive dimensioning to ensure the motor is not continuously overloaded.
- 2
Connect the PTC/temperature contact if terminals T1 and T2 are not connected.
- 3
Switch off monitoring by setting C0585 = 3.
