Battery Current
Fronius · Symo Advanced
What does 603 mean?
This status code indicates that the battery current is too high during either charging or discharging, as detected by the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter. This can be caused by an overcurrent condition, a short circuit in the battery wiring, or an internal fault within the battery system, potentially leading to damage.
Common Causes
- An overcurrent condition during battery charging or discharging.
- A short circuit in the DC wiring connecting the battery to the inverter.
- An internal fault within the battery system (e.g., BMS issue) causing abnormal current flow.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Monitor the battery current during operation via the inverter's display or monitoring system to identify when the overcurrent occurs.
- 2
Inspect the battery wiring between the inverter and battery for any signs of short circuits or damaged insulation.
- 3
Check the battery system's internal fault indicators or display for specific current-related warnings.
- 4
De-energize the inverter and battery system, wait for 5 minutes, then re-energize. If the message persists, the battery system may require service.
